No Inner Envelope - How to address

Kaitlyn, on March 22, 2017 at 2:05 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

I'm trying to decide how to address our invitations without using an inner envelope. I'm in favor of "The Smith Family" because it just feels more warm and familiar and clearly communicates that everyone in the family is invited.

Are you inviting every member of the household? Then "The Smith Family" is fine.

For an adult only wedding, the invitation should be addressed to whoever is invited.

Okay, then stick with The Smith Family. Easy peasy.

When I did my STD I did Mr. & Mrs. John Smith & Family. I guess that would be a more formal way of addressing. Smith Family seems fine.
