No Groomsmen

Unfortunately both of my fiance's groomsmen backed out. However, I have two bridesmaids. Any suggestions on how to continue on without this being awkward during the ceremony which is 2.5 weeks away? I was thinking of having one bridesmaid stand on each side. Have any of you seen a ceremony with bridesmaids only (2 flower girls and a ring bearer)?

Nothing strange about no groomsmen. As long as you have 2 legal witnesses for paperwork, have both bridesmaids on your side.

No groomsmen is perfectly fine. If you're worried about how it will look, you can have the bridesmaids sit in the front row instead of stand

I feel like it’s a lot easier for guys to get away with not having any groomsmen than it is for a bride to not have bridesmaids. I don’t think it would look awkward at all.

My best friend's wedding party was extremely uneven, so they just had everyone in the bridal party sit in the front row. You could do that, or you could put one on each side if the symmetry thing bothers you.

I would leave it as is. Your bridesmaids with you and you fiancé on his side. There is nothing weird or awkward about it.

Your BMs can walk alone down the aisle and it might look nice if one stood on your side and one with your FI if you're worried about it being "even". Or both behind you is totally fine too. I wouldn't think anything odd about that!

I was actually in a wedding where all but one of the groomsmen ended up not making it, so it was three bridesmaids to one groomsmen. Myself and the other bridesmaid walked down by ourselves and the best man and matron of honor walked down together. To even it out I stood on the grooms side so that they had two on each side

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I'll discuss it with him and make a decision. I like the idea of either having one on each side or having them sit down.
