No Grand Exit?

We are thinking about not doing a grand exit, the one with tosses or sparklers where everyone lined up as you leave? Are there alternatives? Could it just be announced that we are leaving and then we leave? What are options that are not rude to guests but also don't require tossed or sparklers?...

I have attended a ton of weddings in my lifetime, and I've worked in the wedding industry for a few years. I have never witnessed a grand exit. The couples always stayed until the end. A grand exit is not a real popular thing anymore, especially since many couples are paying for their own weddings now and are responsible for setting up and taring down their decorations.

We didn't have an exit. At the end of the night the DJ announced they were doing the last dance and everyone danced. Then people trickled out for a while. We were the last to leave!

We were the last people to leave the reception. I can't imagine leaving before any of my guests.

We did a last dance. Everyone lined the dance floor and afterwards, they all rushed us. It was great.

We never planned for one. I wanted as much time with the WP and guests as possible. As it turned out, we were running behind schedule (not sire by how much) but it is a big pet peeve of mine, so whatever photos I was going to get was what I was going to get. Lol. But I suppose I'm a rare breed.

We didn't do any special exit. We stayed until the end and then spent time talking to the guests who were still there saying goodnight and goodbye to anyone we knew we wouldn't see before we all left the next day.

I'm pretty sure the DJ did announce before the final song that it was the last one, though.

We are doing bubbles when we leave the church and our DJ is going to announce the last song of the night before we leave the reception but that's it. I thought about doing sparklers but the logistics of getting everyone out there to do it and how much they cost and since we are staying in the hotel the reception is in it doesn't make sense so no grand exit for us either.

We took one final photo on the porch of our venue. It's one of my favorites! It was also a good way to get people out to the shuttles instead of having people hanging around in the reception area later than we were allowed to be there

Never heard of an irish goodbye before!! Lol... we didn't do anything, we were the last to leave with my two bridesmaids. I have been at a few weddings where the couple is announced to be leaving and then they would have to disappear and leave their party behind, as the guest would move into the residents bar after the dj stopped, I never like the idea of that.
