No Flowers for Flower Girl?

Our venue does not allow anything to be thrown- rice, pedals, etc. . Which means I have a flower girl who can’t throw flowers. She’s nearly two, so I don’t think anyone is actually going to notice or care that an adorable toddler in a cute dress who’s waddling down the aisle looking at everyone with her big brown eyes, is not actually throwing them. But I feel like maybe she should have something to hold?

I thought possibly of a wooden dowel with some fake flowers hanging off of it (although in actuality, that could look really terrible- especially if I’m making it...).

Anyone else have a no flower flower girl or any suggestions?

Thanks! Smiley heart

When I was a flower girl, I didn't throw flowers. I had a basket with a Styrofoam ball in it and fake flowers stuck in it. The flowers still looked great and no one noticed. They used one of the flowers to bussle the brides dress at the ceremony since it had wire in it

Our venue doesn’t allow throwing things either. We got signs for my sister to hold. She’s a bit older than your FG (7) so maybe something smaller to hold like ribbon wands.
Nobody will complain; she’ll be adorable either way

My niece will be 2.5 for my wedding and I want her to walk down the isle but felt like she is too young to throw flowers. So instead we have her walking down with either my brother(her dad) or my other brother, with a little fake bouquet in her hand.

We aren't allowed to throw things either, so we are just going to have her walk down the aisle.

The church where our ceremony was held was also very strict about no petals or anything thrown. I had 3 flower girls and a ring bearer. The flower girls carried lanterns and the ring bearer carried a sign that said Here Comes the Bride.

Our flower girl can't do anything like that either. She has a basket, I am filling it with fake flowers in our colors.

We’re having our flower girl hold a sign as she walks instead of flowers. Not sure what it’s gonna say yet, but Etsy has some adorable ones! They seem like a great alternative to actually throwing petals.

I wanted mine to blow bubbles but my FH was completely against the idea. Thinking of bells or having them carry a basket of flowers to hand out to guests in the aisle seats. I've also seen pinwheels and signs. The ribbons I liked but was worried someone might lose an eye lol

You could still give her a small basket to carry or a little sign.

I was a flower girl with a no petals rule and carried a little basket of flowers. My sister was a flower girl and was supposed to throw petals and almost froze up when it was time to walk (I was guest book attendant and in charge of sending her down the aisle to her mom), so we ditched the petals and I had to hold her hand to get her to go at all. Everyone else thought it was planned that way. I've seen several other weddings where the flower girl carried a sign.

What about handing out roses. I was thinking because I am having 2 flowers girls one would throw the petals then the other would have out single roses to people as she walks down the aisle I havent fully though everything out but I it an idea that way you can still have flowers.

I would do a cute sign for her to hold! Pinterest has super cute ideas and then you can get a stencil on Etsy if you don't trust yourself with free handing anything!

I’m sure you already got married, but if anyone still needs any suggestions....my church won’t allow flowers to be thrown either so we decided to put the flower girls in a wagon covered with flowers with our 9 year old niece pulling them.
