No Flower Girls or Ring Bearers

Lauren, on February 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 15

Okay, so, I am low key freaking out right now. From both my fiance and I, we don't have little kids in the family, hence, no flower girls and ring bearers. My wedding is still 10 months away, but I cant help but thinking about this issue.

All of our close friends don't have little kids either, they are either still single or in relationship, but none of them are married or have kids.

I really want my cat to be the flower girl but the venue doesn't allow animals inside. So I am stuck with zero solution.

Anyone has any suggestions?

There is nothing wrong with not having a flower girl or ring bearer. And you don't want to pick random kids that you aren't close with. Since your pets aren't an option, I'd just simply forgo having a flower girl or ring bearer.

I don't think you need one! Just skip the flower tossing & have your best man carry the rings.

We are not having flower girls or ring bearers. I did consider at one point asking our grandma's to be the flower ladies.

    I don’t see the problem?
We won’t be having a ring bearer or flower girl either.

We also aren’t having a flower girl or ring bearer. Don’t think there’s a need for them honestly unless you want to include children you’re close to.

If you REALLY want one...I have seen people have their grandparents act as flower girls and ring bearers. Could be an option?

Yeah! I was thinking the same thing too because my fiance’s grandma is really cute to be a flower girl, but she’s not confident enough to do that Smiley sad

We're skipping it. FH has lots of young boys on his side of the family, but I've just been to too many weddings where the kids get nervous & don't react well to the crowd so it's something we decided to not do.

I didn’t know people still did flower girls or ring bearers, I’ve never seen them at any of the weddings I’ve been to. I would just skip it, definitely nothing to stress over!

I didn't have a flower girl or ring bearer and it was fine and definitely not missed. Like there are some movie directors who refuse to work with children, I was a bride who had no interest in working with children. If you have a special child in your life that you want to honor, that's one thing, but if you don't just take a lot of stress off your plate and don't have them. There aren't outfits you have to pick out, half the times I've been to a wedding with a flower girl or ring bearer the kid freaks out and doesn't even go down the aisle anyway. There are less gifts you have to buy, and you don't have a bunch of little kids running around with you when you are trying to get ready.

Do you have any grandmas/grandpas that would be willing to be the flower girls or ring bearer? i think that would be a great alternative? you can defiinitely skip that and have your MOH or Best Man carry them but i think its a fun idea!
