No first dance? Anyone do this?

Megan, on March 10, 2020 at 1:00 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5
Just wondering if we can just have everyone dance together and no first dance FH is a very shy anxious person, and although I am outgoing usually, his anxiety and my anxiety combined just altogether makes the whole first dance in the spotlight thing sound awful... did anyone cut this out of thier wedding or am I just gonna have to suck it up. Unfortunately it is too late to elope.... I shouldve changed my mind months ago.

I definitely don't think it's necessary. My friend didn't do one and my FH and I don't plan on doing one either. Feel free to cut out "traditions" that don't serve you. It's your day. 😊

We aren't doing one! He doesn't like dancing in front of other people. I know there are mixed feelings on the shoe game but we are probably doing that instead. Do what make you guys enjoy your day most! My FH and I joked about a sword or lightsaber battle

There's nothing wrong with that at all. Let your dj know and he should be ok with it. No one has the right to guilt you into something you're not comfortable with.
