No engagement pictures - Save the Dates

Hi all! We didn't do engagement pictures (I guess we could still do some, but don't really see a point after being engaged for 8 months). So instead on our save the dates, we just used "selfie" pictures of us in different places (like my profile picture). Did anyone else do something like this? I feel like maybe we should have had professional pictures after seeing everyone elses pictures...

(Of note - we only invited family members - a whopping 18 people).

I used a professional picture that we took during an extended family photo shoot 3 years ago because I love it so much so I say go with whatever picture(s) you love.

I didn't even bother to have any photos on my save the dates, but that was just my personal preference. Since you are having such an intimate wedding I'm sure your family would love to see the photos of you together, professional or not.

Don’t stress over that. I’m sure tour family will love seeing all the pictures of the two of you.

We *almost* didn't but since we did magnets, I thought the family would probably like our faces on them, lol. But then I got nervous! Thanks!

We also used a nice selfie we took at a friend’s wedding. Had we not we would have just done a design with no photo. I just really didn’t want to spend on engagement photos since neither of us really post on social media

Our Save the Date doesnt have a picture. It will get thrown away then our picture will end up in random places lol.

I *almost* went that route but got wrapped up in making them and how I thought our family would like having our faces on their fridge. And then the overthink happened, lol! They are in the mail on the way here.
