No Dancing?!

Eryn, on June 14, 2020 at 4:20 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5
Hi everyone,

After much stress, we had moved our date from June 11 to August 10 of this year. The venue has given us confirmation that our date will be good to go but we have some restrictions to follow of course. One of which is no dance floor or dancing in close quarters. A lot of my family members are discouraged that the wedding would be any fun without dancing. Anyways, my question is: what are some activities or games (or really anything) that we can include in the reception to make things fun? Maybe some that adhere to social distancing?
Thanks!

We went to a wedding where my husband and I got pulled up to compete against two other couples in a dance competition and the crowd chose the winners. You could still do this by having the couples standing far apart aha.
And you can do the shoe game- that’s popular.

You could hire a comedian or caricature artist. A couple that had a wedding at our venue hired a caricature and from the photos our venue posted on Facebook it looled pretty cool. You could also play games like bingo or trivia. You and your fiance could also do the shoe game.

How much time during your reception are you trying to fill with playing games?

I honestly haven’t planned any schedule for the reception since we didn’t know until recently if we could even have the wedding. So I’m just now starting to try to figure out some sort of schedule. No clue right now.

Oh, break out the group games!

Trivia, simon says (table bound), shoe game, and so on. There are so many group games, and you can have a lot of fun with those!
