No dancing in Nyc??

Dj Tanner, on August 31, 2020 at 12:10 PM Posted in New York Planning 2 4
NYC brides....I’m kind of curious how you all feel about the no dancing at your wedding’s rule even if you social distance and wear masks? I’m also curious to see how you feel about seeing the VMAs and watching celebrities in NYC dancing with their dance crew? It just doesn’t really seem fair.

It’s not fair at all. I guess if we were rich and famous we could do whatever we wanted too. I can’t picture a wedding without dancing. My culture is very big on dancing. Everyone invited to my wedding if I would visit I would see without a mask anyway. I believe as long as the guests who choose to wear a mask wear one and those who want to remain socially distanced are allowed to do so we should be afforded the weddings we’ve paid for with dancing. The infection and mortality rate in NY is very low so I really don’t understand why the governor/mayor continues to restrict us further when we are doing better and better every week. At this point I feel like it’s just a power trip.

Yeah I mean let’s face it, if somethings not safe to do then it shouldn’t be safe for anyone to do across-the-board. I’m assuming most of the dance crew had to travel via planes to get there. I just think it’s sort of a big slap in the face to people.

It really is. You have restaurants operating at 50 % capacity and in some cases that’s 100s of people but you can only have 50 if it’s a wedding. That’s ridiculous. We’ve been following all the protocols and the numbers speak for themselves. We’ve had an infection rate of less than 0.1% for months now. You can exchange the same germs from hugging that you can from dancing. And if you know anything about viruses you know you have to exchange body fluids to transfer them to another host so a lot of this is BS. So many small businesses are closing and people are out of work. It’s very disheartening.

Right, and let’s not forget those restaurants, that’s hundreds of different people going in and out. The wedding will be the same people there. It’s just ridiculous and insulting
