No coordinator at rehearsal?

Ashlyn, on October 29, 2018 at 11:34 AM Posted in Planning 0 6
Hey all! I’m coming down to the final days to my wedding. I have a rehearsal planned but I only have a day of coordinator... should I cancel rehearsal? Or kind of tell everyone what I’m expecting walking down the aisle?

I would still do a rehearsal! It's good for everyone to see the venue & meet each other. Then people know when they walk in & at what pace & where to stand, etc.

I would definitely still do a rehearsal. like pp said above, it's at least good for everyone to see the space, know where they're going, etc. Even if it's not a full run through, you can at least practice walking in and out, and if your officiant is there, you can do a mini mock run through. We didn't hire a DOC at all, and actually our venue coordinator was on site and ended up running our rehearsal. She gave us a lot of info on what works, what doesn't, what to do if the weather gets bad (Which it did) etc. So if there will be someone on site at all, even if they're not YOUR DOC, see if they would be willing to stick around or help with your rehearsal. Not sure what kind of venue you have, so if that tip doesn't apply, ignore it. Smiley smile

Ur officiant should be the one handling the rehearsal. He is who lets u know how the ceremony should run.

Definitely do rehearsal. We didn't do it because we had a really small wedding with only 2 people standing up with us. My lovely husband went down the aisle and stood on the wrong side! I had to motion for them to switch before I came down the aisle.

You should do the rehearsal. You really just need the officiant.

Definitely do the rehearsal. Just make sure that all the instructions you relay to your bridal party are also shared with your day-of-coordinator so that they can execute the way you want it done!
