I did ask them what others typically did, and he told me they rehearse first thing in the morning. We are not wanting to do that for obvious reasons :/

We're not having a traditional rehearsal. We have kids in the wedding party, so my FH and the wedding party are doing a quick walk through the day of the wedding and we're doing a welcome dinner the night before.

We did not have a rehearsal. Then again it was only us and our wedding party. No kids, no parents etc.

We had 30min before guests started to arrive but they arrived extra early but luckily it was held in a different room.

Either way, it's not a huge deal so long as guests cannot see you. You will survive.

Would it be possible to do it at another location? We are having a rehearsal at another location since our venue has another event that evening.

If you have a rehearsal, you really need to serve a meal afterwards. So you can move the rehearsal AND the rehearsal dinner to a different night, or just do the dinner on Friday and skip the rehearsal. Most people don't actually need a rehearsal to know how to walk/stand/etc, so it's really not vital.

My venue contract allows me to reserve the rehearsal any day that weeks so I don't know how I would feel in your position!

Maybe you can practice in the back yard in a pretend alter? I honestly have no idea.

I would look over your contract and see if they have the policy for rehearsals in there. If not talk with whoever is in charge and ask what you need to do to make it happen.

I just had the same dilemma! Don't stress! If you cannot do it the night before, maybe see early in the morning the day before your wedding? Or early in the day on your wedding do a quick run through.

No one really needs a rehearsal. Someone can tell people when and where to walk without a rehearsal.

Thanks everyone! These are great options! I have not freaked out about anything yet, so I didn't want this to change that

If you need to do a rehearsal, maybe do it the same day as the wedding? We rehearsed at 11 am for our 6:30 pm ceremony and it worked out well.

ETA: We did still have a rehearsal dinner the night before, but I guess it was more like a welcome dinner.

Skip it. No one needs one, honestly. You put the processional order together with your officiant, you give it to your venue coordinator, you all walk up the aisle and bingo.

Doing it at another location is really pointless.

Most of my venues do a quick walkthrough on the day of, but even that isn't necessary. Between your pro music, your pro officiant and your pro venue coordinators, you'll be fine.

I'm not doing a rehearsal. I don't think they're necessary. All of the rehearsals I've been to have been honestly a waste of time. Do you have a DOC or venue coordinator? They can help with the processional timing and whatnot. No sweat!

We're not doing a rehearsal because many people in our BP are driving in the morning of. I did get a good idea from another thread to have a mini rehearsal day of but I don't really think we'll have time.

I'm having an evening wedding, so I plan on rehearsing that morning if we run into this issue. We would still have the rehearsal dinner the night before. The morning-of situation is less than ideal, but we're getting ready at the venue so it's not that much of a hassle for us.

It's really not rocket science. We aren't doing a rehearsal.
