So honestly i don't even want a wedding but after talking to FH, I have come to realize that there is no way possible not to have one and keep family relationships intact. What originally started as no more than 50 guest has ballooned to almost 100 even with it being 2 years away. my question is, is...

my question is, is it ok not to have a bridal party as I only have my sister and 1 good friend that i would prefer to be my hostesses instead and FH brothers as ushers?

We had 1 MOH, 1 bridesmaid and 1 BM. No flower girl or ring bearer. We had my MOHs sister help with ushering. My FH and BM (his dad) greeted the guests so they were the attendants. Easy peasy. I did have DOC (3 actually because that's what came with our package and I am so thankful for them. They were amazing.)

I think it's fine not to have a bridal party!

I'm not having a bridal party and we are sticking to our 50-56 guest list. Whatever you decide is fine..

I'm not having a BP either even though we are having 225 and I have lots of sisters and close friends. It's been a great stress off of my shoulders compared to what I see others dealing with (and spending). Do what works for you!

I would have them be the BP if that was me. And my story sounds very similar to yours. We originally planned for 50 but I think we have 111 people invited. But life happens. I'm praying for a lot of no's on the RSVPs. But originally we weren't going to have a BP but the thought of not having anyone to help me get ready sounds like more of a hassle and less of the wedding experience. Plus, it will probably give the illusion that you are having a bigger wedding than it is.

    ***update***

I sill do not want a bridal party but my sister and a really good friend have made it clear that they want to stand by my side. So I have decided to give in and only have a MOH, 1 Bridesmaid and my daughter as a junior bridesmaid. My venue does come with a DOC. My MOH is styling my hair and I will be doing my own make-up.

The guest list has ballooned to about 84 but I have been fortunate to find a venue that only requires me to show up and provide the photographer and DJ, everything else is included.
