Has anyone had or been to a wedding with no bridal party? How was it?

Yup! We didn’t have one. It was fine. Guests all seated themselves (including my parents, my hubby’s parents are deceased). Hubby & I walked in & our together. I got ready with my mom & sister so I didn’t miss out on “girl time.”

Yep. The ceremony was very sweet and intimate. Nothing else seemed any different.

I have & I loved it!! It was very sweet & intimate, and for some reason felt more romantic.

That’s true, isn’t it? It did feel very intimate and romantic with just the two of us too!

I love it! That is actually what I wanted to do. But my FH told his best friend that he was going to propose & asked him then to be his best man, so I guess we are having a wedding party LOL

Thank you for all your responses! I’m nervous about not having one and this makes me feel better about it! How many guests did you have at your wedding? I feel with a smaller size wedding, not having a bridal party would be fine! I’m planning on having a wedding of 75 and don’t want it to be weird. Also, how was your venue with accommodating a wedding with no bridal party? Thanks for your help!!

You can always ask a friend, your mom or sister to get ready with you. I would see the bridal party “getting ready photos” in magazines and didn’t want to miss that experience. My mom, sister & I had champagne and a light lunch while getting ready together.

Not sure there’s anything different for the venue (except less dress?). Our venue DOC ushered in the officiant, guests & then kept me & my hubby hidden from view until our walk down the aisle.

We are having about 20 to 30 guests with no bridal party. If we would have had a bridal party there would be no one to watch us! Lol
