No boutonnieres!

Michelle, on September 8, 2019 at 11:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20
So my fiance rather have the pocket linen instead of the boutonniere, who else is opting out of having boutonnieres and corsages?

No boutonnières for us! FH doesn’t like them and since he’d be the one wearing it, I gave full reign of that decision to him. Just means we get to save some money on out floral budget!

No boutonnières for us either! Only my mother, grandmother & his mother will have corsages.

I was kinda the same lol he texted asking what kind of suit he was supposed to get and I told him that's his decision as long as the groom's ties were burgundy it was all up to him since I had made all the other decisions for the wedding lol

The plan is for the best man to wear the Game of Throne's "hand of the king" lapel pin.

I'm not having any flowers at my wedding. The cost is sooo much. They up the price just because it's a wedding. And then do what with them? Seems like a pricey tradition that we'll do without. We figured better to put the money towards good food or back in our pocket. Probably helps to know that we're a bit older and not his first wedding.

H didn't want a boutonniere so he and the groomsmen didn't wear them, the all wore pocket squares instead. We did get them for our dads though, along with corsages for our moms.

FH didn’t want one either, he actually had his heart set on a jade lapel pin, jade’s my promise ring and an important part of our relationship.
I ended up finding him one because he didn’t know where to look, then the post service lost it, then I had to figure out what brand it was(vintage piece) and find it again because he was genuinely sad about it!
Now he has his beautiful pin. No flowers for FH!

Thats what my fiance chose as well, he said since the suits come with the pocket squares might as well use them

What amazes me is more a lot of people do this. I feel so out of the loop lol. Do you happen to have a pic of how this will look?

Yeah, and I'm letting him decide and he said since it comes with the suit rental might as well use it instead of spending the extra money on something we don't actually need lol he didn't like the idea of wearing a boutonniere anyways lol

I'm gonna let my fiance know. I dont know if he will like it lol. My colors were dusty rose and hes okay with the pink flower but not a pink tie lol. Maybe if I tell him itll save us money. Him and I are paying for everything so we are trying to keep it cheap. But thanks for the idea 😁

I attended a friend's wedding back in June where the bride and groom picked their own separate colors, the bridesmaids and flowergirls wore lavender and the groom and groomsmen wore red ties with red suspenders with no jacket.

None for us either, he doesn’t like them and it saves money so win win.
