nj Caterers for around $50 per person?

Maggie, on April 22, 2020 at 2:03 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 8

Hi all!

Recently engaged and planning a wedding for March 20, 2021. We are looking at an all-inclusive venue which is around $104 a person, after a discount, OR having the wedding at my church and bringing in an outside caterer to do the event. Can anyone recommend a caterer who could do the event at my church for around 50-60 people? The church is in Princeton, NJ. Thanks!

Your best bet would probably be to reach out to local restaurants about catering services. BBQ, Italian, and Mexican are usually cheaper. Then you can hire servers to serve the food if they are unable to accommodate that. Another thing I would do is look at the Vendors tab on here to find catering companies in the area. $104 per person for an all-inclusive venue is a steal in NJ, at least based on my searching for our 2019 wedding. What venue is this?

Try this venue. They have an all inclusive package. My cousin is having a small (50-70) people wedding their in September. I believe there cheapest package is ceremony for $800, cocktail hour, buffet style dinner for 48.95pp and cake included. I think if you want an open bar it will be either 55 or 60pp.

Thanks for the advice. I feel like the $104 is a steal too, but some family think it's "extravagant". It's Nassau Inn in Princeton. The pricing is for their lowest priced package, but after a 20% discount. That price also includes a complimentary room at the inn for the bride and groom the night of the wedding.

Thanks! I did look into Pantagis early on, but they're too far north. We're looking central or even South Jersey.

If it's what you want, who cares if some family think it's "extravagant?" Also, NJ weddings are notoriously extravagant! Lol
