Nightmare is always that I'm not ready

Jessica, on July 7, 2017 at 7:05 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

Today marks 3 months until our wedding and I had a nightmare all night that FH didn't have a ring so I was looking all over the house for another one and even asking other people to borrow theirs. Also it was 1 PM (we have a 2PM ceremony) and I was in a bathrobe with a face full of zits with no makeup and wild frizzy hair in a messy bun. I never had the ring dream before, but in every dream I've had I'm not ready in time! Does anyone else have repetitive dreams of that?

I don't know about repetitive - but I had a doozy about not being ready last night

Do you still have a lot to do? Mine were also always about not being ready which I think equated to not having everything planned. I don't have anything left to do and haven't had any in a while.

Yeah, I've got a good amount but it's all things that are details and need to be done sort of last minute. I have my hair and makeup trial in a few weeks, so hopefully if that turns out good I'll be more confident I won't look like a mess on the day of Smiley smile

I had my third last night... in this one the dress wasn't altered yet and I had to just make it work! I've been having them about things that I haven't done yet, so I'm hoping they'll stop as I get those taken care of. OR other things will pop up. Haha.

Me too! My last dream I looked out my upstairs window to see the whole bridal party lined up at the alter without bouquets and I was in a t shirt and jeans. I also apparently forgot to mail invitations because NO ONE was in the chairs. They are so irrational but they suck.

Yeah, i had the one where it was 5pm (my wedding starts at 6:30pm) and I was in my house with my BM and nothing was ready for the day, the place was not decorated and all of us where in our house clothes. I was freaking out and everybody was like "calm down, we'll get ready". Woke up totally freaking out. lol my most first world problems dream I have ever had

I agree! I think you'll feel a lot better after your trial. It also helps me to take a deep breath and remember that nothing is as big a deal as I think it is. Even though it's hard to tell yourself how to feel sometimes.

I have the same repetitive dream of me tripping dramatically and terribly down the aisle and ask tumbling down the stairs into the reception. Like bad tumble, blood, bruised. Bad lol. So random

I have repetitive dreams about not being ready and about something horrific happening on the wedding day like my FH dying or I'm dying. I've been trying to take melatonin/Midnite to get back to sleep. I'm thinking these dreams may be normal. I've also started scheduling my life a bit more strictly to give me the support of a good plan so I won't feel so "out of control."

I have this exact dream, all the time. Well, the specifics vary from dream to dream, but it's always that I'm not ready. I've heard that these dreams (nightmares) can continue after the wedding!? WTF
