Niece and nephew

Marissa, on February 5, 2018 at 8:23 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8
My niece will be 2 and a half at our wedding and my nephew will be almost 2. We want them included in our wedding we are very close with them but I'm wondering if they are too young? My Fiance also has a cousin who has assumed since we got married that she'd be our flower girl, she will be 6 and I'm just unsure of what to do. Any opinions or suggestions?
Thanks!

At 2, probably more like "honorary" FG & RB. Cute little outfits, but sit with parents for ceremony. They can be in a couple pictures if they're feeling it, or not, it's all good. Nephew was 4 and a half when he was our RB. He got distracted during the ceremony and started swinging the ring pillow by a ribbon on it and lost his grip and it went flying across the altar.... Then, he was low-crawling past the bridal party to get it back. Good thing he is/was cute! Smiley winking

(His mother, my sister and MOH, was dying....)

We had a 2.5 yo FG, 6 yo FG, 3 yo pillow/ring bearer and 6 yo sign holder. The 6 year olds made it great. The 2.5 yo despite knowing the church really well and practicing had a last minute freak out at the beginning of the aisle and the 3 yo refused to walk down without my husband literally holding his hand. I think 2 and 2.5 is too young to have reliably walk down.

I would have the 6 year old maybe walk with the 2 toddlers or only her. Two can be a difficult age and with everyone looking at them walking it might not go well. I went to a wedding and the 2 or 3 year old boy had a tantrum halfway down the aisle.

When I get married, my nephew will be 2.5 years old and my niece will be 9 months old. (She was born this morning!) I'm doing more of an honorary RB and FG. Their parents are going to escort them down the aisle. I don't expect them to do anything with the rings or flower petals. And if they don't want to walk down the aisle the day of then that's fine too. They'll sit with their parents for the ceremony either way. I just wanted them included.

I was thinking of having the 6 year old pull the other two in a wagon

Maybe the 6 year old can pull the other 2 down the aisle in a decorated wagon?
