I’m newly engaged and during this crazy situation going on now I feel like I haven’t been able to really embrace it🙁. I have no idea where to start with planing 😔. Anyone out there in the same boat and want to plan together share ideas and boost up the energy let me know 💚

Well first start with a color scheme, do you have a date in mind? Do you want a destination or a local wedding? What season do you want? Summer is cost effective as opposed to a winter wedding. I guess that’s just a start.

I would start with a rough guest list so you can get a budget. It doesn't have to be exact- being able to say "my family has 40 people and yours has 55 plus our 30 friends" means you know about how big of a venue you need, then you can set a budget and work your way forward! Congrats on your engagement. In these crazy times, just remember that the most important part is marrying your partner, and all else is just kind of the niceness on top. And don't get too caught up in the wedding politics - I guarantee no one will remember if your bridesmaids all wore different dresses or the tables were different in your head. Most of all, have fun! You may not be able to talk to venues, but you can plan the kind of wedding you want and the details around things like venues. And make a pinterest board for dress shopping! Things are chaotic right now, but it will get better. Just enjoy the good parts of planning.

You first need a guest list and a budget! Once you have those you can find your venue and pick a date. You have to have those done first before anything else. Get a feel or theme, color scheme and all that now, Pinterest is your new best friend. If you want an outdoors whimsical garden wedding or a traditional church with elegant banquet hall. Choosing your vibe will help everything else fall into place.

Ahahaha, my advice, while albeit not the most helpful is binge watch a bunch of wedding reality tv shows to get you hyped! Also, start with a theme, color scheme, a rough guest count, and have a basic budget planned out.

I agree with everything they just said! Take some of this time to just enjoy being engaged. Most venues are not doing tours or any visitors. So until they reopen just flash that ring around. Watch weddings and read bride magazines!!

Welcome & congrats! First big decisions when you both are ready: 1) budget, 2) estimated guest list, 3) venue. Right now you can’t visit venues but you can still look online. Figuring out your budget & estimated guest list will help you choose the venue that’ll fit both.

Also, if you want a theme or style, it can help to figure that out before you look/decide on a venue. It’s much easier to decorate a venue that already fits your theme. For example, do you want a floral garden or Alice in Wonderland feel? Then a botanical garden might be the perfect choice! Want rustic? Then a barn or winery might be a great choice.
