New Year's Eve brides...

Donna, on August 17, 2021 at 1:20 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

What are you doing for your midnight celebration? We wanted to have fireworks but it's turning out to be a pain in the butt unfortunately. Curious about other ideas! Or what fun elements are you adding into your wedding to go with the NYE theme?

I went to a NYE wedding one year! They set up a screen and played the ball dropping in Time Square and they had all kinds of NYE stuff like hats, glasses, noise makers, etc. It was simple but still super cute and fun!

My venue has an upper level that overlooks the dance floor area, so I am thinking about having a balloon drop at midnight in addition to a countdown and champagne toast!

We plan to have an "after party" near our venue and watch the ball drop from there. We haven't locked down the location or anything yet, but we want to get every minute we can with our guests!

It does. We need to be out of our venue before midnight so we are looking at either 4-9pm or 5-10pm. I am leaning towards 9pm so our guests have plenty of time to get to where they need to be, drop off vehicles, etc and not worry about driving later than necessary.

Who did you contact for the monitors? An AV company or did you have a planner who set that up for you?
