New rings or pre-owned?

Aimee, on October 14, 2019 at 7:28 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9
I’ve been trying to cut costs but still have a nice wedding band. I feel hesitant about a used ring but it’s a bargain. What do you guys think?

I don’t think outlet means used. They are likely just discontinued styles. Besides m, if you like it who cares. Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks.

True, FH gave me a weird look but now that you said that it made me realize that it could have been a showroom piece.

Honestly, I would go for a vintage or estate band. If they have a warrenty they'll depreciate less and depending on when it was made, will likely be a higher quality

No one would know but you! And I agree with PP that it’s likely a discontinued ring or display so it’s discounted verses used. If you love it, then you should get it! It’s definitely unique and beautiful!

An outlet ring on an awesome sale is great. I personally wouldn’t want a pre-owned wedding ring (or engagement ring) unless it had sentimental value. I am way too superstitious about that! But either way no one is going to question where you got your rings, so do whatever you’re comfortable with.

My engagement ring is vintage. (So yes, used!) I LOVE it. Firstly it's massive, way bigger than anything we could afford new. Secondly, it's more ethical, since we are reusing instead of making something new. And thirdly, I love thinking about the history and mystery behind it. This seems like a showroom peice so it's slightly different. But yeah as long as it's in good condition, why not? No one will know apart from you and it will look great on.

My engagement ring is a vintage piece from 1930’s that our jewelry store acquired through an estate sale and I absolutely love it!! Used is not always bad.

I think if you love it, it doesn't' matter where it came from or what it is.

Thanks for all the feedback! I’m going to try them on again in person.
