New NYC Plus Size Bridal Gown Option!!

RK Bridal in the city also carries a nice selection of plus size gowns. I got my dress there friday! I have heard good things about Lovely though.

That is incredible! I am a street size 22. Truthfully will they have sample size that fit me? I know they don't take appointments. Does it become very stressful then?

Also, is it wheelchair accessible does anyone know? I would love to bring my dad.

Most designers will go up to a 26 its being able to try on the dress that is the issue.

They have Maggie Sottero, Mori Lee, Justin Alexander, Stella York, Allure, DaVinci, Essence of Australia. (those are all designers I remember seeing tags for in the plus section) They have about 2000 dresses there though and a ton of designers.

It was an interesting shopping experience. They don't accept appointments, you come in and fill out some paperwork. Then you look though the racks and take pictures of the tags of the ones you like and then a lady comes and pulls your top 3 for you.

My consultant was wonderful and put up with me. I wasnt the most vocal about what I didn't like I just knew when it wasn't the one.

I felt more involved in the shopping than I did at any of the other shops I went to.

I had a lot of fun looking at all the dresses. I actually picked out my dress but it wasn't one of my top three and the consultant went back and forth on pulling it for me.

My dress was a maggie sottero, I love it. I tried on about 25 dresses total over 3 shopping trips.

Im a 24 street size and i was able to try on plenty, my consultant just clipped me into some dresses and added a sash so it was covered. It is wheelchair accessible, he may have some trouble looking at the dresses on the rack but thats really more about his mobility. Theres plenty of space. We went on a friday that was a holiday but we got there by 11am and were done and out the door by 3pm. We waited a little over an hour for a consultant but theres plenty to do. You aren't waiting around, you are shopping, it went pretty quick
