New invitations

Olivia, on April 6, 2020 at 5:27 PM Posted in Planning 1 8
Hey everyone! So due to all this rona crap I had to reschedule the wedding from April 25th to August 7th. None of us were probably ever thinking we’d have to postpone our wedding days but unfortunately that’s what some of us brides had to take on during our wedding planning, and I’m so sorry for everyone who had to do so! It’s definitely very difficult! But now since some of us have to move our dates to later I guess I have a few questions about the best way to go about everything now. So for invitations my fiancé are now going to be doing the email/online type invitations, we both let everyone know that things are changing and told them the new date. So do we do the normal send out our new invitations at the normal time frame you would or since it was postponed so we give them more time? Also, for anyone who has used the email type of invitations, would you recommend using it? Like is it pretty easy and a cheaper way to have invitations? Thanks everyone! And I hope you all are getting through your wedding planning stress fee ! 😉

I would send the new invitations out 6-8 weeks before the new date.

We were supposed to get married April 18th and now we are August 30th. We sent out a basic text & email stating the new change & date. We bought change the dates along with detail cards stating to RSVP on our website by a specific date. That way we didn’t have to spend extra money on change the dates and then invites!

I was supposed to get married on April 25th as well.... postponed to October 23rd now.
We created a change the date/new invite combo. It was a similar theme to the original invite but less extravagant. It also said to RSVP at our website.
I plan to mail those out asap hoping that the guests get them before April 25. Everyone should already know it's not happening but just making sure no one shows up at the church or anything like that lol

I have seen “Save our New Date” card ideas on Instagram - which I think is a great idea given the current state of things , helps give your guests a heads up without having to print new invites right away
