New dress for minimony or original dress worn twice?

I wore my wedding dress for the minimony for a few reasons:

1) My husband wanted me to wear "the" dress.

2) My mom was diagnosed with cancer just 10 days before, and I wanted her to see me in my dress since we did not know her prognosis. My mom lives out of state so had never even seen my dress prior to our big day.

3) My wedding dress is the prettiest and most expensive piece of clothing I've ever bought for myself, so why not wear it more than once!

4) We are in our mid-30s already and our parents are in their late 60s/early 70s, and the future feels pretty uncertain. We are not certain if/when Covid will no longer be an issue. While we are planning a bigger event next year, we are not confident it will happen. Between now and then we could lose jobs and decide not to do a big event, one of our parents could fall ill, or we might need to postpone again. Also, if we want to have kids it needs to be soon so I don't know if I'll fit into my dress in the future when/if ever our big event happens (I could be pregnant or post-partum).

I don't have any regrets wearing my dress. It looked amazing, I didn't damage it at all, and our photos are beautiful. I do hope that by next spring we've got a much better handle on Covid and can have the event we dreamed of, and I'll be excited to wear my dress again then.
