My FH and I are postponing our wedding, due to two deaths in the family (my FH uncle and brother in law)half of our guests coming by plane and just the stress of everything we agreed this year wouldn’t be right for our celebration. We emailed our venue and scheduled to talk to them today about our new date. What is everyone’s opinion on week day weddings or Sunday weddings? I’m not sure how booked they are for next year so we were definitely considering a week day if need be. Thanks in advanced for the advice
🥰❤️

Logistically I’m not sure how weekday weddings really work...most people work on weekdays and may not be able to take off. Sunday weddings are fine though, plus theyre usually cheaper and even though everyone postponed will be more likely to be available than Saturday. Fridays could work too but those are also a little hard with people’s work schedules

We are scheduled to get married at noon on Monday, July 13 and the cost is nearly half the price of a weekend wedding. We will have family and friends arrive the Friday or Saturday before to catch up and have rehearsal/dinner. Not everyone will be able to attend but the ones we really want to be there will be! Good luck on your rescheduling.

My condolences to your and FH family!

Our wedding is on a Friday...start the weekend right!!! I feel that with sufficient time to plan those that want to be with us...WILL BE! We will go on a mini-moon directly afterwards.

I'm so sorry for your losses; this is such a hard time.

We're doing a Sunday wedding and doing a full traditional wedding with the reception until 10pm and after party. Our close family and friends will just take Monday off. Not a single person has had a problem with it so far. Anyone traveling in for a Saturday wedding would most likely take Friday off in our cases (everyone is either local or traveling very far distances from SC, FL, or MO to NY), so there's really no difference.

I am sorry for your losses.

I don't like weekday weddings. But if that was the only option, I would choose a Friday over a Sunday. But I would never choose any other weekday besides a Friday.

I'm sorry for your loss. For me I am flexible give me a date I'll try to be there. I think most guests could make it so long as they have plenty of time to plan for it. I think Sunday weddings are a perfect close to the week and a nice opening for the new week.
