I'm inviting my whole office to my wedding about 9 people plus their spouses. We had a new person start about a month ago and my wedding is in 2 months. So I will know her about 3 months by then. Our desks are about 10 feet from each other and we work pretty closely. Do I or should I invite her? She is a very nice person and I like her so I don't have to worry about that,, but it's only 3 months. I don't want her to feel left out because I do mention my wedding in front of her. What should I do.

    If you're inviting everyone else in your office, I would also recommend extending the invite to her.

    If you have room to invite her it would be nice to ask, especially if you're inviting everyone else.

    If you like her, invite her. Given that everyone else in your office is invited she’d feel left out but it’s not required.

    If it's in your budget, invite her! She can always say no, but at least she is included

    I don’t think you have to. It’s your wedding, you can invite who you want. I wouldn’t be offended if I was new and someone didn’t invite me. Weddings are for family and close friends.

    This happened to me. I was hired and then about 2.5ish months later my coworker got married. Very small office (4 people total) and the others were invited. I didn’t feel left out or anything because I figured her guest list has already been finalized and we didn’t know each other well. I didn’t mind her talking about her wedding. Years later I did invite her to mine this coming Sunday!
