Wow that is beyond rude. I am paying $49 per person for food (including appetizers), drinks and their seat. But if you average the entire wedding cost, I am paying about $108 per person.

While the articles may be fake or not, I've seen some of that sense of entitlement on the posts here. In fact, I went to a wedding of a new co-worker once, and gave what I considered a generous $50 gift for someone I didn't know well. And in Iowa, that's not that bad, and most likely covered much more than the cost of the plate. I was honored that she had invited me.

Then, after I got engaged, I was talking about how worried I was about keeping the guest count down to keep it smaller and she says "We just invited a ton of people. The more people you invite the more money you get." I really wished I could have taken that $50 back at that moment!!!

Wow! The unnecessary-ness! We're paying $74/pp. It includes served dinner, cake, 4hr open bar, set up/break down, cocktail hour, the wedding is there too at no extra cost. Also a champagne toast for everyone and 2 comp rooms. I would like the mass wedding too but we're not breaking us or no one else to have it!
