Just Said Yes September 2020

Nervous and Anxious

Rose, on June 7, 2020 at 10:06 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 10

Getting married Sept 5th. How are you handling everything? We are still planning on getting married as scheduled the ceremony is outside but the reception is in. I've been planning this wedding since Nov 2019 and I just about have everything bought and pd for. I'm feeling nervous about the 2nd wave but I truely want to go forth with the wedding. Where are you all at, at this point?

I hope everything works out for you! My bff is getting married 9/19/20 and she told me that she’s just waiting for things to open up like stores for her dress alterations but she’s planning on continuing on with planning because even if less people can make it, she still wants to be able to have her day happen. So we are all just hoping for the best

I don't know about a second wave, but I'm getting married on June 20th and we are moving forward as planned.
My venue is open and good to go.
My guests do not have to wear masks, but are welcome to if they feel more comfortable that way. We have to sit people who do not live in the same household 6 ft apart. I do have people that have chosen not to come due to Covid, but I have assured them I will take tons of picture for them.
As long as your vendors are good to go I would just plan on moving forward and make a quick backup plan just in case!

We’ve been planning our 9/19/2020 wedding since 2017 and last week we were encouraged to postpone by our LA county venue. So we did. The stress was quite literally making my hair fall out so I’m glad to have a decision made.

I'm getting married in September as well. We are going ahead with planning as normal. We've sent our invitations out an RSVPs are slowly coming back in. We're in TN and haven't had any guests voice concerns. I say if you want to keep planning then keep doing so. Just keep an eye on your state and what their regulations are and talk with your venue and make sure that they haven't made in requirements. Congratulations and good luck!

So we are getting married on 10.31.2020 and have been planning since July of last year. So I understand the boat you are in. I'm waiting until I absolutely have to make my final decision, for myself that's at the end of July. We have a backup plan to get married this year in a chapel and then have dinner afterward. Then we will do a vowel renewal next year with the big party and everything I have bought, etc. Our venue is having our appointment in July so I am just riding the waves. I am continuing my planning as if we are doing the big celebration but also having that backup plan in place just in case. Do you have a backup plan? Would you want to do something that is smaller if it comes to that? My co-worker was getting married on your date as well and she just opted to come to Las Vegas and go through the drive-thru. There are many options and I know it can be stressful. If you need any help with anything let me know and I will do my best to help out!! You got this!!

Thanks all for responding. I am still going ahead with the planning. I dont have a backup plan as of yet. The hard thing I have is now I took a job offer in florida and leave soon. I will be back only twice before the wedding but it sure is making it tough. I was told yesterday that unless the govenor lifts the masks we would have to wear them for the reception. I just cant conceive of that even though I understand. Now this is making me stressed. Augh! anyone else have to wear masks for there reception?

Good luck to your friend. Hopefully we will be able to have our day. I feel the same way still going thru with it as of right now it’s only 50 people for myself with masks

Thank you. No real back up plan as of right now still planning on going thru with it. We are down to 50 ppl with masks but I’m ok with a smaller wedding as long as it doesn’t go lower than that it was hard enough to have to cut so many people. I hate to think of plan B because I really am praying this all happens for us. 🙏🏻
