Negative space ring advice

Emily, on April 18, 2018 at 1:40 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7
I'm sorry, this is kind of a long post, but i think the backstory is kind of important.
My FH proposed giving me a gorgous emerald cut halo ring. I love it! However, finding a wedding ring is proving to be difficult. I would like to find a band I could get sauter(?) together, so part of the band would need to sit flush against my engagement ring. A jeweler suggested I look into curved rings. I found a curved ring I LOVE, but the woman who makes it said it won't set flush to my engagement ring. She suggested a negative space ring. My only issue with the negative space ring is that it isn't a circle. Should i get the negative space ring or look for something else?
First picture is my ring.
Second picture is of the curved ring I LOVE.
Negative space picture will be in the comments.

Negative space ring. The woman who would make it said she could use the scrolly band I love for this ring and I can pick out my gemstones.

I've never heard of using a negative space ring, but that could look really good! If you're getting them sodered together, nobody will notice that it isn't a complete circle.

Would the curved band touch your ring at all? There is space with mine but the sides do sit flush and my jewler told me it could be soldered.

The biggest problem I have been having with the curved rings is that they will touch my center diamond, leaving a huge gap between the two bands.

I like the negative space ring. If you aren't a fan though maybe you could speak with a jeweler about getting a custom band made.

If you want a circle band and don't want any space between the rings, get a custom band made. I did. I love how the two rings look like they were made to stack together.

Both of your custom rings are beautiful! I just don't think i can afford a custom ring. One jeweler quoted me $300-$400 for a solid band.
