Need tent walls and heaters?

Tianna, on June 5, 2018 at 10:37 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 13

Hi there! I am getting married this coming Saturday and the temperature is looking like a high of 75 and a low of 50 with 40% humidity and 0% chance of rain. I have a wedding tent. Do you think tent walls will be enough to keep people warm? Or should I rent heaters as well?

50 seems cold, I'd rent heaters if you can! If not, maybe offer blankets or hand warmers to guests? I'd try to let as many guests as you can know to bring jackets.

Are you kidding?? This seems like perfect weather!! I’m hot natured though but I would say people will bring jackets and you could provide a couple fleece throws and maybe a bonfire if you think people will get cold. My wedding is next June and I would looovvveeeee this kind of weather.

I wouldn't need a heater, but some people might so I would probably get some.

I would rent heaters even if you end up not having to use them.

I think a low of 50 would be perfect for me - but for the comfort of others I would be sure to have a couple heaters on hand. Sounds like you are going to have beautiful weather!

It's better to have them and not need them, than to need them and not have them.

Especially if you have young children and older adults.

Where are you from? I think 50 is plenty warm, but I'm from the North East where for me to be cold it needs to be like 30.

Is this for the ceremony or the reception? If it does include the reception, what time is your reception scheduled for? If it's an afternoon wedding that's ending around sundown it should be warm for most of the day so you should be okay with walls and no heaters. If you have an evening reception, that's different. you may have a few hours of your reception in the 50's. I'm from NY and I would be freezing if I were sitting in 50 degree weather for hours.

Is your wedding in the evening, that the temp would be closer to 50? If so, yes you need heaters. If you're having an afternoon wedding, I'd expect closer to the high temperature forecasted, and you'd probably be ok. If I was a person that gets cold at 75 (I am!) I will know enough to plan ahead and bring a wrap or something with me.

I would get heaters. I went to a wedding that was outside last labor day weekend but it was 50 degrees. Everyone was freezing and wearing coats and so on pretty much the whole time.

I would get heaters, I myself don't think I would need it (as long as you have a good DJ) but older people and children would definitely be cold on a 50 degree night outdoors.
