Need help sharing our wedding website after i already printed my save the dates!

Mrs. Lewis, on May 9, 2019 at 8:52 AM Posted in Planning 0 23
Hey everyone! So, originally i wasn’t going to have a wedding website and i ended up changing my mind! I made a website on Zola however, i already have my save the dates printed that was one of the first items i purchased early on while wedding planning. I was thinking of adding a typed note or something? i know I can text it or word of mouth but i figure people are more likely to see it and go to it rather than me just texting it. Any advice for sending this along with my save the dates?

Just include wedding website link on your invitations. Do you for some reason need guests to go on your website between time you send your save the dates & your invites? Typically guests go on website when it’s time to RSVP, select meal choices, find your registry info, or get all day of info.

I always look at wedding websites. However, some people, no matter how you share the link, will never visit one. So my suggestion is to put a label on the back of the std with your website printed on it. You could use a clear one. You could also just let people know or wait until invitations go out!

I printed ours on business card size paper from Zazzle and picked cute paper clips from amazon and clipped them together

I forgot too and just added a typed note that I printed out and stuck in the envelope! Kind of like a small detail card that would come with the invite, oh well!

We had a lot of hits to our website! I used WeddingWire and you can track the visits. I just switched to Zola because WeddingWire’s rsvp feature is not as detailed as I want and their link to message guests is broken. I wrote on the old website about the change and sent out an email as well! People have visited it I know because they are rsvping on it!

You can purchase a small clear matte label and print the website in white and put it on the bottom. You can also try to cut it out with vinyl, but you may have trouble transferring it.

I would include a business card with the information on it or print it on a clear sticker that you can place on the invite.

We also just printed our website information on a business card and stuck that in the envelope with the save the date.

I ordered some business cards from vistaprint (I think it was 9 bucks for 100) with our wedding website on it to put in the envelope with the save the dates! Worked great.

Can you order a small business card with your wedding website & put it in the envelope?

I honestly am not sure. I switched about a week ago and majority had already looked at the old one when it was up. I hid all the pages and just explained that I moved websites and gave the link (both hyperlink and copy and paste just in case). I did send out the new website to those that had not RSZPed yet though.

I can send it to you via message so you can see!

I also forgot and just waited to add to invites which I recommend because we ended up having to change a lot on our website just as we were mailing invites!
We did Zola with online rsvp and no one is even reading the invite to know what to do 🙄 we’re 8 days away from rsvp date, 42 away from wedding day and only have like 30 out of 225 and most of that is wedding party and us!

I did the same thing and didn’t make a website until after I made the STD. I bought clear labels from Office Depot and printed the url onto those and then stuck those onto the back of the STD. I put the STD in “backwards” so when guests opened it they saw the url first

We actually did the exact same thing so FH printed out printing mailing labels with our website on them and we stuck them on the back side of the save the dates. That said be very careful that it is typed correctly because I was frustrated that literally no one looked at our website until this morning my boss pointed out that some how the website was typed wrong or something because it does not lead to our website

You can use a business card or just post it on social media!
