Yes, I think that short of a string of pearls would look nice with that neckline, as you would still have the negative space. A long string of pearls wouldn't look good, but the choker style would be very elegant.

I don't know that I like pearls with that neckline, and I'm a huge fan of pearls! I wore the pearls I inherited from my grandmother on my own wedding day. Before you splurge, could you try on the dress again with a cheap faux pearl necklace to get a visual? To me, that dress has such a delicate look that I would pair it with a thin necklace and pendant if I opted for a necklace at all. But I'm also terrible at visualizing things.

I might be biased, because I love pearls. I think a short strand like you want is universal and can go with just about anything. I do agree, though, that trying the dress on with a cheap costume strand first is really smart, to see if you like it.

I personally think a short strand of pearls would look really good. I love more simple jewelry and I'm not into the big, sparkly, long drop-style necklaces a lot of brides typically wear these days so I would definitely go for the pearls.

I wore pearls with a lace dress, though it was a sweetheart neckline, so I'm biased but I think it would look really nice. I think it's a good idea to try a faux set to really picture how they'll go together
