Navy and Blush Tables

Sara, on September 2, 2019 at 10:24 AM Posted in Style and Décor 1 36

Hey everyone! I am using navy, blush, ivory and rose gold as our wedding colors. I really want to use both navy and blush tablecloths for our reception but I don't know whether to use blush with navy runner for guests or navy with blush runners. Would you use lighter or darker for food/cake/gift tables? Any and all help and advice with photos appreciated!!

I vote blush with a navy runner! For your food and gift tables, navy for the main color Smiley smile

Thanks! I'm leaning that way also, I don't want it to look too dark for a spring wedding but the food and gift tables will still allow for the navy to be showcased.

Hey Sara! Since your wedding is during the spring, I definitely think that blush table cloths with navy runners will look great! As you said yourself, you don't want the space to look too dark! Have you thought about your centerpieces yet?

Yes, we are having birdcages with flowers and fairy lights. I am going to add another element too but haven't totally decided yet.

Yes do this. I cater a lot of weddings and it’s always a better bet to do dark food table linens.

I plan on navy food tables with blush accents with flowers and runners. I also want to do a manzanita tree for the food table centerpiece

Would you do ivory birdcages or rose gold? Both are our colors but wont be used as much as the navy and blush. Most flowers are plush pink, ivory and greenery.

For me, it would depend on the room as you want to work with contrasts. If you have standard white walls which are going to be exposed, you want the darker (navy) table clothes so that the blush runners will pop. On the other hand if you are outside with dark natural colors or even inside with dark wood, blush table cloths with navy runners would be more appropriate.

Personally, my colors are navy and emerald. I have navy covers for the main tables and emerald covers for the auxiliary tables (welcome, deserts, wedding party, etc.) with runners that have a little of both in wicklow county tartan. both are dark colors partly because of the white walls i have to work with.

I may do half and half. I only have to do 6 or 7. We are having a small wedding.

Thanks I never thought of it this way! The walls are white but there are quite a few windows that will let in light. We will have an afternoon reception.

I took a trip to Hobby Lobby today to find birdcages 50% off! I bought 2 of these to start my centerpieces. What do you all think?

The cages are just at 12 inches. I had already made mason jar flower jars and am just deciding if I want to use both. Would you raise the vird cage up on a pedestal candlestick or leave it down? Are both too busy together? (Sorry about photo on bed, kids were busy doing homework on the table)

I think either combo would look great! You could also do a blush tablecloth with navy napkins. Here are some visuals....
