Natural Curls or Straighten my Hair?

My fiancé loves loves loves my natural curls (old photo of me with my fiancé, when we were just dating). The problem is, I would love love to straighten my hair (blow out) just for the engagement photos and wedding itself. It’s just more manageable for me. I told him I would add some curls to it… at the end of the day, he will be happy with whatever I choose, but I can’t help but feel guilty about not going natural for my wedding. he’s the first person ever to embrace my natural hair. Heck, not even my mom embraces it at times. Natural Curls or Straighten my Hair? 1

I took my husband’s opinion on favorite hair styles into account, but in the end it was my hair so I put the most weight on what I wanted! If it’ll make it easier for you or you just prefer it, it’s completely fine to go straight. If you want to consider going natural, maybe talk to a stylist who specializes in that style of hair and talk about styles and your concerns. You may find a natural style you adore and isn’t more trouble and go with that, or you may decide it’s too much trouble and straighten. But at least you’ll know all your options!

I have the same dilemma as you. I’ve decided to go natural instead of fighting the heat! Plus I haven’t straightened my hair in years and think I’ll be happy looking back at my curls the day of since that’s how I normally keep my hair styled. So maybe just go with your gut and do something simple. I’m sure your fiancé will love whatever style you choose tho.
