Narrow aisle...walk solo?

ambrok, on August 2, 2017 at 8:32 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

Our aisle is only be 5' wide. My A-line dress is probably a good 3' wide on the bottom. Is this enough room for someone to walk me down the aisle & not to step on the dress or bump into the chairs? (note that moving the chairs out further isn't an option)

I'm OK walking solo or I was thinking of asking one of my brothers to walk me down.

Will you get a chance to test it before the event? Like see what it feels like with someone else?

I think it depends on how important the relationship is with the person walking you down the aisle. I would never even consider my dad not walking me. My dad are I were very close. It's a memory I'll cherish forever, and even more so since he passed.

My Dad has passed n I've always thought I'd walk solo. Family n FH keep asking if I'm going to have anyone walk with me n got me thinking...

@Ruth, it's in a hotel atrium so if I use a bit of imagination of dress n its width...we could test it out. Good idea!

It could work. Instead of putting your hand in the crook of your escort's arm and him walking beside you, he could take your hand and walk a half-step ahead of you -- leading you down the aisle. Just don't let it look as though he's 'dragging' you to your FS.
