Napkin Colors

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to pick napkin colors for my wedding this October. Our colors are navy, burgundy, and gold.
Our venue has 3 options for tablecloths (black, white, or cream) and we are definitely choosing white.
As far as napkins, I'm torn as to whether I want navy, burgundy, or alternate whole tables having burgundy/navy. Our centerpieces will have airplanes with table names on them. Some of the airplanes are burgundy and some are navy.
Do you think it would look better if I coordinate napkins to match the color of the airplane on each table?

Yeah I think it would look nice to coordinate the napkin color with the airplane color for that table!

I think I’d reverse it and pair the burgundy napkins with navy plane and navy napkins with burgundy plane. Burgundy is notoriously difficult to match exactly and it just irks me when two burgundy items are next to each other and the shade is a little off. 🤪 By contrasting (navy plane, burgundy napkin) you avoid having the paired colors clash due to shade differences.

That is a very valid point! I will have to check to see because I doubt they match exactly. Thankfully our event coordinator let us bring the swatches home

There’s no right answer. This is a detail that will be overlooked by anyone that’s not looking at the venue as a whole so try not to stress!

This was exactly what I was going to say! I'm also going to step a little out here and ask why not use the cream colored table clothes? Your colors are warm and the bright white table cloth might contrast. Have you paired your colors with a white background?

It's hard to describe how it looks, but the only cream color our venue has as an option looks like more of a dingy old yellowed white color than the pretty cream color I am used to seeing
