Name change on Instagram(very common names)

Sara, on October 28, 2024 at 4:46 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3
Hello!
So I get married this Thursday and I have been having the hardest time to find a username that isn’t taken. My first name is Sara and last name will be smith. Literally the two most common names ever hahah. I’ve tried my middle name in it, my last name, everything! Right now I have one I found and it’s Sara.b.smith, bogie is my last name but that’s it. I love my short username and don’t want to have a long one but I’m stuck at this point if anyone has any ideas, I appreciate it!!!

A lot of people I know just kept the instagram handle the same and updated their name in their bio/profile to reflect the new last name.

Try underscores? A meaningful number at the end or in the middle? Or just keep it the same Smiley smile

I like this idea!!! Very simple and straightforward. You could even put a picture from your wedding as your profile pic if you wanted! That way you can brag to everyone that you're married 😂
