Name cards

If you don’t know the name of your guests plus one, how would you label their seat card at the table and also label them at the card display that tells them what table they are at?

I would find out their name. Either by asking them directly, asking a friend, or stalking their social media.

I recently went to a wedding and the seat next to me was a plus one and it said guest of so and so. So if you really can’t find out that always works. Just make sure to have it next to that guest on the main board and make that one not alphabetical if you are doing it that way.

When people RSVP they should put the name of their plus one. If you don't know, I would ask. When I've been a plus one, it made me feel more welcome when I saw my name on a name card.

I asked people directly who their plus one was. No one had an issue giving me that information. There were only like 3 people we had to reach out to though.

My FH and I put a spot on our RSVP's for our guests to put the names of those attending. For the few that did not put the names down, we contacted them individually and asked. Just tell them it's for the escort cards.

I would definitely ask the name of their plus one, it's just more personable.
