Nail/EyeBrow timing?

Juanita , on May 11, 2017 at 3:56 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 26

How far in advance did you all get your nails done and eyebrows waxed, etc? I usually have some redness after a waxing and I've never had my nails done, soooooo I need help :/ Should I get the nails done at least once before the wedding?

ETA: I've heard of some people getting FULL FACE threading- this includes, eyebrows, chin, upper lip, cheeks, the whole works. Has anyone done this before?

I would say a week for eyebrows. I get mine threaded and they don't get nearly as red as they did with waxing, just something to think about trying post wedding.

I would do nails a day or two in advance. Don't wanna risk them getting chipped or anything. I'd go for gel too, they last longer!

I will probably do brows and nails 2 days before. I get red after waxing but it usually only lasts 30 min or so. If you have a European Wax Center in your area, I highly recommend them!

If I do my eyebrows/lips/chin, after two days I need to pluck for upkeep. So it all depends on how quickly yours grow up. But def not more than two days. In fact, if you wax regularly, the redness should be gone within a day... Nails do on the morning of, if you can.

I am an Esthetician and wax for a living. I like to see brides usually 7-5 days before the wedding. Makeup doesn't like to stick to freshly waxed skin.

I'm doing my nails on the Thursday before my Saturday wedding, but I'm getting gel so they stay nice.

Be a weekout for brows for sure. You don't want any redness or swelling before your big day. I am rough on my hands so I am going the evening before the wedding early and then calling it a day.

I dont wax my eyebrows but I got my nails done the day before. If you get gel mail polish it lasts longer than regular.

I breakout MAJORLY when I get my eyebrows done. My skin is really sensitive. I get a bunch of little red dots around my eyebrows that have a lot of texture to them. So I plan on getting mine done like 2 weeks out to give my skin time to heal. Plus, my hair grows pretty slow, so it will look pretty much the same as if I were to do it 1 week out instead.

    Nails, probably 1-2 days before.

I just got my brows and lip waxed last night. @KCJV I looove EWC! I don't go anywhere else Smiley smile OP you definitely don't want to get waxed any closer than a week, because waxing pulls the oil and dirt to the surface and you'll likely break out. I'm planning to tweeze now to keep up until next Saturday.

I'm getting my nails done (gel) on Wednesday.

Get it waxed now so you know exactly how many days it will stay red. Then plan accordingly. I get my brows & nails done regularly, so I'm going the day before. My skin only stays red for a couple hours

3-7 days for waxing eyebrows, chin, and upper lip. I wouldn't wax my cheeks. Swelling and redness usually goes away the same day. Don't forget to also do a bikini wax unless you are shaving instead. You may also wax your legs and armpits.

Don't try anything you haven't done before too soon before the wedding. So if you've never tried threading test it now. For me my face broke out for 1 month.

Nails you can do 3-7 days before. With nails there really isn't much to try. But you will need to get use to them being on if you do acrylics since you've never done them. This is not the case if you do a regular manicure or gel manicure. Gel manicure last 2 weeks. Acrylic Gel nails last 2-4 weeks. Regular manicures last 1-2 weeks.

I am not doing anything risky (anything I don't do on a regular basis) on my face before the wedding for fear of rashes, allergic reactions, etc. I am doing nails with about 8 girls 2 days before and I have no problem doing a great manicure!

I love threading. I'd probably do it a week before. I think waxing works well, but my skin freaks out after it. Nails you could do a day or 2 before

I got my eye brows done 2 weeks ago for the first time. They still look good. The ladies and I are getting mani/pedi today before the big day tomorrow. Facials i have heard needs to be a couple of weeks before in case of break outs. Sorry, never have done the full face threading. I have seen it done. Looks like that it hurts.

I'll probably get my waxing done a week before, make up does not stick to my face for like 3 days after waxing! I look ridiculous with big patches of no foundation around my eyebrows! lol
