Hi- I am planning a small wedding with around 40 guests. The venue I’m having the ceremony in has a large column in the center of the room. Any suggestions on how I can arrange the room for the ceremony? Here’s a pic, sorry one is so grainy. Ii was standing near the doorway when I took the pic.

The reception will be in somewhere else.

I don’t see a problem. Pick one side of the room and set up your chairs there. You can easily fit 40 chairs and have an aisle in the middle. Conference rooms like that 3x the capacity and they fit fine. You can also find a free seating plan website and arrange the chairs into something that you are comfortable with.

I agree with Michelle, I think that’s the best suggestion for the space and will look really nice. Have you thought of anything to do on the other side? You could have a beverage station (water and lemonade dispensers), guest book available to sign, etc.
