Mystery sender

Amy, on April 3, 2013 at 1:43 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 13

Yesterday, we received a present in the mail and we have no idea who sent it besides it coming from Target. We have not received enough "no" RSVPs to figure it out either. Anyone know how to figure out who sent you something off your registry from target when there is no name on it? P.S. Super excited about the gift too! It was something I was really hoping we would get!

I would contact Target and see if you can find out through them, they had to charge someone for it...good luck!!!

I'm not sure how to detective that out other than asking Target, but also remember its not necessarily that the person isn't coming to the wedding. I think people ship gifts to not have to worry about dragging them to the wedding with them, for convenience.

All good advice. Thanks Ladies, I will try to contact Target since the item was only available online. I just want to give the anonymous person a huge Thank you!

Did it not come with any card? I had to dig to the bottom of a BBB box and found the shipping receipt. Thats the only way I found out. Good luck!

The gift message is usually listed on the packing receipt. If you are having a shower soon that someone can't attend it might be for the shower. I would post something on facebook saying that you received a lovely gift from Target today, but can't figure out who it came from and would like to thank that person. Please let me know who you are!

Definitely contact Target. That happened to us with Macy's and they were able to tell us who the sender was.

Just like Amy - I had one that had no note, but in teensy weensy print on the outside shipping label, it had the last name of the person that sent the gift. Otherwise, I would have had no idea. Its so frustrating!
