My Vows to fh

I need input ladies!! They’re heart felt without being too mushy and I had Siri read them to me and it flows nicely I think but what do y’all think?

Chris,

I don’t think there are any words that can truly capture how i feel about your or how much I love you but I’m going to give it a shot.

From the day we met, I knew we were made for eachother. I got home from that first date with this indescribable feeling of security and sureness. A feeling that you only feel when you’ve met the one. Since that day you have undoubtedly made me the happiest I’ve ever been. With you I smile a little bigger, laugh way louder and finally feel confident enough to be myself. Thank you for that. You’ll never know how much it means to me. I always knew a love like ours existed I just didn’t think I’d be lucky enough to find it.

Today we stand here about to become husband and wife. I couldn’t be more proud or excited that you are the person god made for me to go on this adventure with. We are so similar in so many ways but so different at the same time. You’re the calm to my crazy, the clean to my kinda messy, the on time or early to my fashionably late. You are my missing piece and I will cherish you and our marriage until my last breath.

I believe in you, the person you will grow to be and the couple we will be together.

With my whole heart, I take you as my husband, acknowledging and loving your faults and strengths, as you do mine.

I promise to be faithful, kind, respectful and supportive and to make our love, and happiness my priority.

I promise to take care of my mind, body and soul so that I can be the best wife for you and mother for our family, because you deserve nothing less.

I will be yours in plenty and in want, in sickness and in health, in failure and in triumph.

I will dream with you, celebrate with you, laugh with you, cry with you and walk beside you through whatever our lives may bring.

You are my person—my soulmate, and my once in a life time love- today and always.

I think this sounds lovely. My only feedback would be to consider the length given the amount of time your ceremony is supposed to last. We are writing our own vows as well, and all the websites I saw suggested they be between 150-200 words because that puts you at 2 minutes or so speaking. You want to factor in pauses, tearing up, etc. which would bump it to maybe 3 minutes or so (for 200 words). So just something to consider depending on your length of ceremony!

They are awesome. I also agree with PP regarding the time factor. I’d say time yourself reading them and then also account for laughter, tearing up, etc. After I did that I had to cut my vows a little. Of course we have LOTS to say to our partners because we love them so much lolol. I saw a good suggestion in another WW forum saying that you could write the things you don’t say in your vows in a letter to your partner and give it to them at a later time or before the ceremony.
