My sleeves arrived damaged.

Welp that was a big waste of my money. I ordered these gorgeous off the shoulder sleeves for my wedding dress so my seamstress could just sew them on.
They arrived and I HATE them. They arrived with a large dark yellow stain and some of the fabric is frayed. I’ve been talking to the seller but I’m honestly so damn upset right now. I don’t even want to wear them anymore even if they can be fixed. I actually burst into tears when I saw them because they’re not even useable right now.

If they can be repaired I have no idea how much it’ll cost and it’s too late to send them back for a replacement.

I just needed to vent. Is it the end of the world? No, I’ve got a lot more on my plate than some dumb sleeves but I was looking forward to these sleeves and now I want to cry when I look at them, I wanted these so much.

It’s too late, even with the rush shipping I paid they took forever to get here. She seems reluctant to really do anything other than apologize. I could file a claim but this is not at all what I need right now. I’m already stressed to the max.
I’ll probably sleep on it. The thought of fighting with the seller is so upsetting.

So sorry that they came damaged. I would file a claim and dispute for a refund that the items you received were damaged. Make sure to take pictures. Did you purchase off Etsy? They have a process to do this. I don’t know how long until you would need new ones, but maybe browse for similar ones with a fast shipping time.

Oh no! I'm really sorry about that. I am making mine myself. I bought everything at walmart for under $5 - I am NOT a seamstress in any way shape or form but I gave it a shot and the tester turned out beautiful. They are tulle off the shoulder attachable short sleeves.

Good to know, thank you. Yeah I bought them off Etsy, I’ve never had problems with a seller before so didn’t know the process to file a claim. I guess I was due one awful experience.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, Yam! Definitely file a claim with Etsy. They usually side with the buyer if you have sufficient evidence. I hope you're able to get a replacement or a new set or sleeves!

Thanks, I definitely have photos. It looks like someone smeared egg or mustard on it. I showed her a photo and she said “You can’t remove it with cold water?” 1. No I can’t and 2. Is that really an appropriate suggestion when a seller messes up an order?

That's definitely not appropriate of her to say. She screwed you over and should have taken responsibility. Take her to Etsy court!

The seller is rush sending me a sleeve replacement at her expense so I feel a lot better! I spent $45 alone on rush shipping the first time, no way I’d do it again. If she didn’t agree to pay it herself I would’ve escalated the complaint. I don’t like to fight with sellers, but if I felt ripped off I absolutely would!
