My Sand Dollar Favors....I love them!

So last summer on vacation to the beach we are getting married on this summer, FH found us a TON of sand dollars to use for favors. I dropped them off a few weeks ago with an old HS friend who recently mentioned on Facebook that she wanted to start up calligraphy again. We worked out a deal to have her do the calligraphy letter on the sand dollars, and just sent me a pic of the finished product....LOVE THEM! I can't wait to get them and turn them into keepsake ornaments for our guests!

I love that idea! I want to have a beach wedding......but I think it is too far and many of our guests won't want to travel

@Jamie You might be surprised! We invited 77 family and a few close friends, including kids...we have 61 coming! We're also throwing a reception back home to celebrate with all our friends we couldn't invite.

I think the legend Nancy may be mentioning is how the sand dollar is a symbol of the birth, death and Resurrection of Jesus. There's a poem/story about it. Here's one of the many links I found:
