Long ago, I wanted the big wedding. The princess gown, the big cathedral, and the large crowd. This was during my first engagement that never went anywhere. THANK GOD! Anyway, my current fiance and I agreed on a small wedding. Due to the significant focus on detail, I believe they now call this a micro wedding. Our guest list looks like it will be about 20 people. We will have a dinner served on a patio alongside a creek in Sedona,AZ. We have hired musicians to play music throughout the ceremony and reception. There will be cake, an open bar, speeches and a cocktail hour. The only thing we are not planning is dancing. We both hate attention so we figured it wasn't necessary! Back to my mother....she is so afraid of my small guest list. She doesn't think it will be fun and she wants to "show it off (the wedding." They contributed a large chunk and therefore I have offered to let her invite whoever she wants. Unfortunately, none have accepted so far. Has anyone been to a relatively small wedding and have any words of encouragement for her? I need to hype her up!
