FH and I were set on a venue and had put a hold on our date, but I just got a call from them telling me that the date they'd supposedly put on hold for us got booked!!!!!!!!!
We were pretty excited about it because it was the Sunday before Labor Day at the same rate as a Saturday, exactly in-between our birthdays, AND it was a palindrome date (the same forward and backwards). Ugh. I feel a bit foolish because I had the utmost confidence in their customer service up until now based on reviews and the experience we had during our tour. We might move on at this point if we weren't already COMPLETELY IN LOVE with the venue!
I know there are worse things... It's more than two years out, for crying out loud. There's also a chance they will accommodate us for another Saturday for the same rate, but I still feel kind of violated.
