My guests attire description

Sheila, on June 16, 2019 at 2:25 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
We are getting married in a restaurant with less than 15 guests and I will wear an ivory simple and long dress. My family are starting to ask me what will be the attire required to go. I just don’t know what exactly to tell them! I don’t want to tell them to overdress if is a dinner only plus the ceremony before that. But I don’t imagine them in jeans either! Well what I’ve been reading is that “cocktail” is one of the description for women. But, that is not necessarily long dress and I will wear a long dress. Can my guests wear short dress if I wear long? Please help! I need clarification and guidance🙏🙏🙏🌷

I would say cocktail! We described our attire as cocktail, and all the women wore short dresses from what I noticed.

Thank you, and cocktail means specifically short dresses?

You don’t have to wear a short dress you are the bride. Cocktail for guest means short less formal but I think it will be ok if a guest wore a less formal long gown.
