My groomsmen are women!!

Courteney, on October 2, 2016 at 6:31 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

The bestman and one of the groomen are women and I'm not sure how to dress them they want to wear dresses but I don't think they should wear the same as the bridesmaids now I thought since my colors are plum and teal that I could have my bridesmaids in purple and the grooms women can be in teal... I'm not sure and I would love to hear some ideas on what I could do..

One of my FH grooms people is a women. I think we decided to have her in the same dress just in the color then men are wearing. I am thinking they are going to wear grey. So the bridesmaids will be in blue and she will be in grey. That way she still looks like she is part of the wedding but definitely on the guys side.

What you have in mind could be easily done. It's not as big of a deal as it may seem. Have the groomswoman in teal dresses and have the groomsmen in teal ties to match.

FH wants his sister as a groomsman, I want my brother as bridesmaid. His sister will wear a black dress and my brother will wear a black tux, if they accept the roles when asked; we're definitely no where close to asking and have plenty of time to finalize that.

I think you could do the BMs and GW in two different dress colors. Or you could have them all in the same color but have the GW wearing a different style dress than the BMs. I've also seen GW wearing a dress color that matches the color of the suits/tuxes the GM were wearing.

You and FH could ask the GW if they have any ideas or which option they would feel most comfortable doing.

I think that would be a really cute idea.

Our bestman was the best women. She wore a similar color and dress to my MOH.

Well I picked a bridesmaids dress I absolutely love and it's the plum color and my groomsmen are wearing black but David's bridal won't make the dress in black that's why I thought we could put them in teal

I just went to a wedding where the best man was female. She wore a tailored shirt dress that matched the other groomsmen. She fit in very well

Whatever you feel comfortable with! Smiley smile My FH has a girl in his groomsmen party - she is a great friend to both of us so I had her join my bridesmaids when selecting a dress and she will match my girls (same dress, same bouquet) but I can see how it has to do with how you feel and your relationship with the lady. Don't feel like you have to adhere to a standard, if you want her in another color dress that's fine, too. Smiley smile

I'd have them match the groom. Like if the groom is wearing a grey suit, the women would be in grey dresses.

Have them wear long dresses in the color of the suits the men are wearing.

Like everyone else is suggesting, I would just definitely make them match the groom whether it is wearing a dress the color of their suits or the color you are doing their ties! I wouldn't do the same as the BM.
