So my gown would have been paid off and home on April 29th. Well things have gone horribly wrong. I balled over my gown yes balled. My fiancee was laid off work for 2 weeks. So we have been penny pinching we have 3 kids between us. our bills started piling up those two weeks really hurt. Him and I are paying for the wedding his mom is helping too just she has bills as well. Lastnight reality started to sink into him. He hit a deer with our car doesnt have full coverage now our car needs a new hood, light, front fender shocks and tires oh and an oil leak ugh. we can still drive it but not for long. he told me today when I was picking out wedding items that my gown has to go back we can't afford to pay it off my april 29th and they won't extend my layway. So I balled this is my gown the one I wanted to walk down the aisle to him in. On top of that our wedding venue ciontract is being written up and sent to us . It takes a deposit on it as well. Ok , the gown you have chose is beautyful. Go on DHgate.com I orderd my gown from there . You send your exact measurements and they make the dress to fit you. And yes if it says you pay $109.00 then that is what it costs. They are knock offs of designer gowns, they have to change 1 thing to be able to sell the dress at such a discounted price. My first gown choice was New Graceful Designer Bridal Wedding Gown Dress. the pic is below. It cost me $140.00 and is still listed on there for the same price. DHgate is a good site to deal with but pay threw Pay Pal. Just to secure you will get your money back if your not satisfied. STAY AWAY FROM MILANOO.COM. They tried to rip me off from saying they cant find my order and it was paid for.

Also because we are having a western theam wedding I went with the dress I was going to ware for the reception. Pic is below. And this one cost me $ under 100.00. Call your venue and explain to them that an emergency has come up . They may give you smaller payments to hold your venue. If not then that is not a place I would want to have a reception. Just my thought. Remember when one door closes a window opens. Our first choice for a venue someone double booked. They told us that if we paid the full price then that couple got the hall. We went someware else and we got a better deal . The hall we are having holds 300 people and we only are paying for 150 people. Twice the size better for dancing.

I agree with what Analy said in her first post. You do have over a year until your wedding, and that gives you a really good amount of time to rekindle everything. I mean, a lot can happen in a year, and even if you wait a year to order a new dress, you may still even get it in time. I mean, look on the bright side Smiley smile Things will pick up, I promise. I know how it is to go through money issues. We are facing the same thing. I think a lot of brides face it. I don't think you're whining or that you sound like a baby. I completely understand how you feel. I actually didn't have the money for my dress until a couple weeks ago, and my wedding is in four months. It's all gonna be alright. I'll be praying for you.

Just remember: you have time, and in that amount of time, the price of the dress WILL go down. THey always do. The gown I wanted was originally $1025, and I bought it for $800. Plus, you said you got it from David's Bridal? Because they usually have some great sales.

Here's my thought. Veils, head-pieces and accessories are very expensive at Davids Bridal. You can get them much cheaper else-where. I'd also offer my dress except the sizing would not work.

Im so sorry! but hey look at it this way, find an alternative if you are determined to get hitched! WE did... I got laid off in Nov last year and have my wedding planned to a T. We are saving $ by using his mother's property for the venue... his uncle is making our cake (he's an ex bakery owner) we splurged on photogs BUT I hunted on craigslist and got my dress and bracelet for $100... we are also planting our flowers to save $ there

i mean bargain hunt. ask people to help!!! and remember at the end of the day, if it isnt meant to be then let it go for the time being. I know that sounds harsh and tough but coming from someone who walked through your shoes just a few months ago, trust me. my new wedding date is 6 months AFTER my first wedding date. When I got laid off we canceled everything! breathe and take your time... I cried too and i am so sorry for you. here are some of the items I mentioned... my wedding will be lovely but not too costly

Do you still need the dress. I have one laying around in the same style and red color. Where do you live?
