My Fiancé surprising me with Reception

Supposed to say “un-traditional”!!

Sometimes I would love to hand the planning over to my fiance, but he's not much of a planner. Plus I'm somewhat of a control freak so the worry would stress me out more then the planning itself lol.

He basically told me he would play a game of darts to make decisions. 🙄 That also explains why he hasn’t chosen his wedding band ... he wants to look at EVERYTHING that is available before making a decision. DH is not a planner, and I'm ... not easily surprised. (I've spoiled my own surprise party, figured out gifts weeks ahead of time... I'm not really fair.)

Why not? About half the women I know planned their entire wedding and reception , and their guy got measured for his suit and showed up. So clearly one person can do it🙃
And I just love sitting back and letting a guy pick up all the work and responsibility sometimes. My FI / hubby did more than most guys I know of, with no prompting, but unfortunately most things he voluntarily picked up to do, he had to come to me to find out what to do. Or his mom. And was sweet enough to say, at some point, that 10 years after considering himself to be a grown man, independent of family, he was surprised to find to what degree he went from his mom taking care of most things, to me doing it. So applaud your man for doing this.
