Just thought I'd share something with you ladies. So my fiancee is on of those men that agrees with whatever I like or want. Our wedding isn't until 8/2019. So I haven't started much planning. Every time I mention something to him he gets excited but irritated because I ask so many questions because I ALWAYS take his opinion seriously. What are the MAIN things a name opinion is needed on? Do they have input on cake or flowers or music? Did you ladies leave any future for the FH?

What exactly do you think “should” be left to the bride, other than her attire? That is the only thing that I think you can argue should be a unilateral decision. And the groom should choose his own attire similarly.
everything else should be a joint decision, or divided fairly between the couple at their whim.

I do most of the research and run by him what I like, and ask him what he would want/if he likes it too.
the main things he’s had the biggest opinion on is the color of his suit, and what kinds of beer we’ll be offering 😂
he’s been mostly a “yes” man, but he definitely lets me know when he’s thinking something specific which is awesome

No, I did not "put him in charge of the music". We are an equal partnership, I am not his boss. FH and I both discussed what needed to be done and he said he would like to research the music.

I've noticed in a few other comments you've made that you say there should be some stuff left to the bride. I'm not sure what you mean by this but, it sounds borderline sexist. Just because your FH is a man doesn't mean he can't/shouldn't be involved in your wedding as an equal. FH should be involved in as much of the wedding planning as he wants (with the possible exception of your attire). If he wants to plan let him plan. Hell, if he wants to plan and you don't let him take on most of the responsibility and you can give your opinion where/when you want to. Wedding planning is not a women's job!

    Bravo! Smiley smile

My fiance had very strong opinions about the napkin colour. He's very good at layout and design, so why should I be making that decision just because people might think that is the bride's domain? For that matter, he picked our dishes pattern, too. He's the cook in our family, so of course he has more of an opinion on that sort of thing.

We share decisions together. It's our wedding, not my wedding. Gender roles do not have to be a thing in weddings or relationships at all, for that matter.
